life when it comes to interacting and developing our society. Ever since we can
remember, we have used communications on different forms: sign language, written and oral languages... Today however we have taken communicating to a
new level: social media and social
networking. This sensation affects us in numerous of ways and nowadays we can
access it at all times, because we are carrying it at all times: through our
cell phones, laptops, I pads... The consequences of social media is like a coin with two sides: it
has both negative and positive.
Countless social media make

ReplyDeleteWhen I used to sit beside my Grandmother she started saying that people in the past are better and more connected to each other. Now i realized that this is true, 10-15 years ago people tend visit each other more due to the lack of entertainment tools. But nowadays we can notice that even small kids have a phone with all the applications that are now called social media. Thus people are now entertaining themselves by using social media which tend to reduce the bonds between them. I agree with Malak that this is a real disaster.
ReplyDeleteSocial media phenomenon has widely spread among people and even children, and we can notice that young students are using social media more than the elders. Its is very important for communication and to keep up-to-date with this change but within limits, once these limits are exceeded we can notice that its negative effects started to appear among the people who are using it. However, everyone must be educated about the right uses of social media for their own benefits rather than using it for a waste of time. Students could be taught to use their mobile phones as a tool for research more than a tool of entertainment. Thus all of this depends on how we educate our children about something, and we have to teach both the negative and the positive effects, otherwise we would have a fragmented society.
ReplyDeleteThe media has it's uses, but also has a lot of flaws. It can put destructive ideas into peoples heads, it can change perceptions and lead to harmful things. I just think society needs to recognize the bad and the good media, and learn where to pay attention
ReplyDeleteThe use of social media for businesses, organizations and education seems to have pros and cons. But If we want to talk about social media in Education, then we might say the technology and computers has become an aspect of everyday life for students, especially young ones, so it might be helpful to incorporate learning into the social equation.
ReplyDeletewe can never let go of the media around us, and no matter how hard we try to isolate ourselves from it, it will find a way to sneak back into our homes. Our books are based on things that the media thinks is important, the apps on our phones are best sold according to their popularity ratings, the news people around us gossip about is also based on media, and the list goes on. What we must do is try to cope with the fact that media is a very important part of our lives, yet manage to control instead of having it the other way around.
