A professional is a person who is trained to know, almost instinctively, what to do in any situation and when to do it. Those skills, as a teacher, are essential while working with students, administrators, fellow teachers, parents, professional colleagues and the community. Teachers must know how to work in the many roles and fulfill the numerous duties that they have. Professional teachers constantly and consistently reflect on practice. Whether it is in the formal assessment through videotaping and writing. Professional teachers examine their own pedagogy and change it to meet the needs of their students. Teachers always need to upgrade their knowledge. By meeting and collaborating with other faculty in the school. In short, as a teacher I need to look for opportunities to reflect on experiences and seeking opportunities for growth as a new teacher.

A Professional Teacher

I'm sure Hanadi that yu'll be NSHALLAH a successfull teacher in future!! Really this post made me aware more and more of myself.
ReplyDeletethank you Ahlam :) I expect the same, and even more, from you.We truly need to search within ourselves to find the capacities and the positive intentions to set off in this long, troublesome, but fruitful journey. We should prepare ourselves to be "role models" ; so we need to work hard to improve our selves to meet the high standards and expectations.
ReplyDeleteA professional teacher is also a life long learner; a person who is aware that she does not know it all and accepts that. A professional teacher not only changes her practices to meet the needs of her students, but also learns from students. Being a professional doesn't only mean mastering the material. You should be able to make changes in students, reach out to them and have them look up to you.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! I would like to add on this post that the professional and effective teacher is the one who cares most about students, the one who has good classroom discipline skills, the one who knows his/her subject area very well, the one who is always organized, the one who’s always willing to work for long ours for the sake of the students and the one who doesn’t gossip about students.
